I don't speak German, so I'll write in English.

Unfortunately for you, but it's the FAZ missing the facts.

First of all, after the IIWW polish government calculate all damages made by German army. It was about 48,8 bln USD (in 1945). Between 1945 and 1953 Germany paid back only about 230 mln USD. For axample: Germany destroyed about 14 000 factories and Poland get back only 17 from the East Germany. Poland lost completely 38% of its infrastructure and polish population felt down from 35 mln in 1939 to 24 mln in 1945. More than 6 mln people were the victims of the German mass genocide.

About 2,5 to 3,5 mln of Poles was forced to a slave labour in German factories (like BMW, Bayer, Seimens ect.). 1 mln of them get ... only about 160 euro compensations. Can you image person who work as a slave in concentration camp for 4 years and get only 160 euros?! So, what kind of compensation you talk about?

But there is a lot more. Over 500 000 pieces of art was stolen by Germans. Till now Germany get back not more than one hundred of them. About 50 to 200 thousand of Polish children was stolen from they parents, and sended to Germany ... and more ... and more .. and more.

Germany lost the war and signed the unconditional surrender to Allies (UK, USSR and USA) and they had the right to took Germans lands on the East. In Jalta treaty Allies give those land to Poland as a partial compensation for taking Polish eastern lands. Before war Poland has about 390 thousand sqare kilometers of land, and after the war they had about 312 thousands.

In 1953 Poland was forced by USSR under economic embargo to regect reparations. It was an act made against polish conctitution from 22 february 1952 and it was a "defect of intention".

So it is a true fact that the Germany owns Poland, by different calculations from 1 to 6 trilllions USD.
