You are the author of the largest art-in-public-space project EVER (and that ever will be) of the city of Hamburg, and you were an outlaw the whole time!
(and the Hamburg City Government has fought actively to destroy your work,; I miss your erased graffitio!)
You called their shit -- and they reacted in cowardice!
You touched so many people untouched by the bourgeois cultural politics of this horribly hierarchical and ass-licking city.

When I first came here in 1993 as an art student your laconic and ubiquitous graffito were already an urban legend. And they were right THERE in the out-of-the-way location where I lived! You covered every centimeter!
The repression against you was anti-cultural and insane (for want of a better word). I will sorely miss you. I saw one of your last smileys on the sprayed new telekom plastic construction in münzviertel two days ago and it made me so happy when I saw it. NEW LIFE!
