„Ex-Berliner“: Value for a little money

First the bad news: the Ex-Berliner isn’t for free anymore. From this day on, you’ll have to pay two Euros for Berlin’s only English paper. The good news: there’ll be more articles, more value, more pages, and a new layout. „Thrice as much contents as before,“ promises founder and manager Maurice Frank. The reason for the big change after only eight months of production was the imbalance between ads and text, says Frank. From now on, it’s being published as a monthly as opposed to a bi-weekly paper. „Now we have much more time,“ says Frank. „Which means: It’s much easier for us to meet our claim of high quality“. There’s only a circulation of 20.000 copies, an increase might come soon. And of course there’s a special treat for the readers of the latest edition: cover boy Jim Avignon. TAZ
