The struggle with the strange II
Stories from Central and Eastern Europe
The political, societal and cultural transformation dynamics in countries of Central and Eastern Europe raise questions: Are they still in line with European ideals of solidarity, liberty and equality?
How do countries in Central and Eastern Europe deal with the „refugee crisis“, nationalism and ongoing conflict? Is the situation maybe less obvious than we as neighbours and observers might think? Are there stories of ambiguity, success or surprise? Futurzwei and the Goethe Institut, who collect „stories for a better future“ from all around the world in their joint project Futureperfect, invite experts from Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Ukraine to tell stories of struggle and conflict, but also of hope and success on the way to an open society.
This event will take place in English.
An event in cooperation with FUTUREPERFECT (a project by FUTURZWEI and Goethe Institut)
